TetherGPS Disappears from Google Play for Sprint Customers

As of today, Sprint has revoked downloading TetherGPS from Google Play (formerly Android Marketplace) on its network. We’re guessing the staff at Sprint may have mistaken our app as an unauthorized way to tether data to wifi devices.

We have contacted Sprint to try and clear up any misconceptions about TetherGPS. Hopefully we reach the right individuals to see a swift resolution.

We apologize if your access to TetherGPS has been affected by this unfortunate incident. We will keep you updated on the progress with Sprint. You’re more than welcome to send us emails regarding this issue, or another issue you may be having.

Again, we apologize for any interruption in the usage of TetherGPS, and we’ll do what we can to ensure it returns to Google Play for Sprint customers.
